Position Title: Site Support Coordinator
Location: Lubumbashi
Background & Objective
Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Care and Treatment Advisor - Haut-Katanga, the Site Support Coordinator (SSC) will provide comprehensive technical assistance to health facilities (FOSA) supported by PATH as part of its project called Integrated HIV AIDS Project / Haut-Katanga Lualaba, IHAP / HKL in acronym. SSC support to healthcare providers will focus on continuous improvement in the quality of services in all of the following areas: prevention, screening, treatment and management of HIV / AIDS, PMTCT, TB / HIV, Laboratory (Rapid tests, viral load, and quality control activities) family planning and SGBV in the FOSA that will be under his responsibility.
Specific Responsibilities, Duties and Tasks:
- Develop a schedule of activities on a quarterly basis and submit it to the Clinical Care and Treatment Advisor for pre-implementation approval.
- Assist the care providers of the sites under his responsibility through regular coaching visits using the checklist set up by the technical coordination of the project.
- To become acquainted with, master and use the tools put in place by the technical coordination to monitor the evolution of cohorts and monitor the movement of inputs in the sites.
- Work in collaboration with different stakeholders to bring health care facilities up to the standards of SIMS 3.0 of PEPFAR.
- Organize the continuous quality improvement (QIC) activities for each of the sites under his supervision by participating in the establishment of Quality Improvement Teams (QAR), in the development of improvement plans quality and monitoring of their implementation, all in collaboration with the QA / QI Officer.
- Share with the Clinical Care and Treatment Advisor the problems of each site under his responsibility to find the appropriate solutions.
- Ensure the completeness and regular update of information collection tools, including Tier.Net and data quality for each of the activities implemented in the health care facility in collaboration with the health care team. Monitoring and evaluation.
- Regularly update the DHIS 2 database.
- Ensure the completeness of the indicator monitoring dashboards made available to the sites on the evolution of the 95/95/95 for each of the sites under responsibility and develop improvement plans where appropriate, as well as follow up.
- Have ongoing discussions with other SSC colleagues and Technical Officers (TOs) to resolve potential issues that require TO / SSC interaction before discussing with the Clinical Care and Treatment Advisor for a concerted solution
- Identify providers' capacity building needs and report to the supervisor.
- Maintain good relations with the HIV focal point of the Health Zone Central Office and involve or inform them about site visits.
Experience required:
- Nurse or Physician with at least 3 years of experience in HIV prevention, care and treatment at hospital sites and / or AIDS support projects;
- Experience working with PEPFAR / USAID funded projects would be an asset
Required qualifications
- Ability to work in a team and under pressure
- Communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment and in collaboration with state and non-government partners.
- Common use of Microsoft Office programs, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Perfect mastery of written and spoken French; knowledge of Swahili and English is an asset.
The incumbent will have a local contract. Candidates considered for this post must be nationals of the DRC.
This post is based in Lubumbashi, candidates outside Lubumbashi will be responsible for relocating to Lubumbashi.
