How will you fight for an AIDS-free generation?

The DCOP Clinical Services for the anticipated five-year USAID Kitumaini 2030 Project will support all clinical oversight and service delivery activities under this award. The project’s main objectives are increasing uptake of HIV and other prevention services for priority and key populations; increasing uptake of HIV testing services at facility, community, and provincial levels; increasing laboratory services and uptake and adherence to high quality HIV treatment for OVC and; strengthening and improving capacity of DRC’s health systems to manage the HIV response. This position is contingent upon award.

How will you fight for an AIDS-free generation?

This position is contingent upon award.

No two days are alike at EGPAF, but what can you expect as a Deputy Chief of Party for Clinical Services?

  • Provide direction for clinical service delivery activities, ensuring high quality and consistency in approaches and efficient and rapid achievement of results.
  • Supervise and provide technical oversight in line with national and international standards.
  • Provide direction and oversight to the team of technical advisors.
  • Prioritize resources and tailor services to meet objectives at each level of project implementation.
  • Ensure effective implementation and coordination of service delivery activities, working closely with local partners, USAID, and the MoH.
  • Coordinate and support technical assistance at the national, regional, district and site levels.
  • Ensure effective implementation of clinical project activities.
  • Support management, planning, development, and execution of the work plan.
  • Develop evidence-based strategies and implementation plans along the continuum of HIV care for the program with support from the Chief of Party.
  • Assure consistent, high-quality clinical interventions for HIV testing, care, and treatment.

To be successful, you will have…

  • 10-15 years of continuous management experience, 5 of which must be at senior level.
  • Significant experience in leadership, budget management, project management, and donor relations.
  • Experience managing complex, disease-based programs, especially HIV programs.
  • Experience working with USG programs, including USAID/PEPFAR experience.
  • Experience working in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or the Central Africa region.
  • MD, or other relevant degree.
  • Experience in establishing and sustaining working relationships with Ministries and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and strategic planning skills.
  • Dedicated visionary and strategic leader with ability and experience to work in a multidisciplinary, multi-cultural team.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.

Bonus points if you have…

  • Experience in capacity building for monitoring and evaluation activities. 
  • Experience working with a range of key populations including sex workers, gay men and other men who have sex with men, transgender people, and people who inject drugs.
