  • Communication & Plaidoyer : Assurer le développement, la gestion, la coordination, le réseautage, la mise en œuvre et le suivi d’une stratégie de plaidoyer et de communication et les produits et activités connexes sur une base continue avec le public;
  • Partenariat : Soutenir l’initiative Better Business for Children (BB4C) dans le secteur minier, soutenir la croissance des partenariats entre UNICEF et le secteur privé et assurer la mobilisation des ressources.

Task description

Avec autorité déléguée et sous la supervision du chef de la communication (CAP) et du chef de bureau et en collaboration avec les partenaires, l’Assistant CAP sera responsable de:

  • Communication, Plaidoyer et Participation des enfants et engagement des jeunes; • Veiller à ce que le bureau de Lubumbashi ait une stratégie de communication claire et associée plan de travail pour soutenir les objectifs du programme;
  • Maintenir les contacts et la collaboration avec les médias afin de promouvoir le droit des enfants à un public plus large;
  • Veiller à entretenir et développer le réseau d’influence d’UNICEF dont le soutien est essentiel pour le plaidoyer en faveur du droit des enfants;
  • Assurer que les campagnes mondiales, nationales et locales en faveur des enfants mobilisent les partenaires, les influenceurs ainsi que l’opinion publique;
  • Veiller à la mise en œuvre du Plan de Travail Roulant de la section Communication, Plaidoyer et Partenariat.

* Secteur privé :

  • Développer et maintenir des partenariats (financier ou non) avec le secteur privé en général et les sociétés minières en particulier appuyant la mise en œuvre du programme UNICEF;
  • Identifier les opportunités et risques de partenariat;
  • Fournir un soutien stratégique et programmatique dans le cadre de la responsabilité sociale des entreprises;
  • Appuyer le renforcement des liens entre les Programme et le secteur privé afin d’influencer les politiques et les pratiques commerciales et d’obtenir des résultats en faveur des enfants;
  • Soutenir l’agenda en faveur de l’élimination du travail des enfants et des droits des enfants auprès des entreprises privées.

Eligibility criteria

Age : 27 – 80

Nationality: Candidate must be a national or legal resident of the country of assignment.

Requirements

Required experience

  • 3 years of experience in • professional work experience in the UN or other international development organization;
  • Excellent oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, reporting skills;
  • Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels; familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development;
  • Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel;
  • Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment;
  • Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines;
  • Sound security awareness;
