1. CONTEXT SODEICO Sarl, a company specializing in the recruitment and provision of qualified personnel, is recruiting on behalf of one of their clients for a Program funded by USAID/BHA (United States Agency for International Development/Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance) an IT Specialist. The client is a global humanitarian organization that works with people in poverty and distress to create justice and positive change through empowering partnerships and responsible actions. 2. ORGANIZATIONAL POSITION TheIT Specialist will be under the supervision of the Procurement Logistic Manager.

3. DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES Equipment
- Configure and deploy new and refurbished workstations, laptops and peripheral equipment.
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, update and maintain workstations and laptops.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot printers/copiers as well as manage toner requests.
- Setup and support audio/visual equipment for presentations and trainings on and off site.
- Install and configure peripherals including scanners, external drives, monitors and other peripheral hardware.
- Removal/disposal of non-functional equipment Software
- Provide software and system troubleshooting and support.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and update operating systems and user applications.
- Proactively schedule software upgrades and patching.
- Assure that all software on the society equipment is licensed and keep record of licenses.
- Record and track all equipment and submit monthly report their statutes
Network
- Monitor network to ensure network functionality and availability to all system users.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair cabled, wireless and other network infrastructure.
- Support existing/new server/s and administer access rights for all users in the office.
Security
- Maintain local and server based anti-virus software.
- Inform and train users and management in how to adhere to the society local security ICT policies.
- In case of virus infection clean out affected equipment.
- Overseeing the proper storage of all company data and archiving of records and back-ups
Users
- Ensure computer is set up prior to new hire start date and any related moves.
- Handle the relocation of computer equipment as a result of office or personnel changes.
- Request and setup new user accounts and email accounts promptly.
- Troubleshoot, and repair user accounts and email accounts, assist in resetting passwords.
Systems Planning
- Participation in research and recommendation of improved infrastructure processes and technologies to include growth planning.
- Provide procurement assistance including, but not limited to, researching solutions, making recommendations for product purchases and evaluating bids.
- Test new equipment and applications and provide thorough feedback.
Management of Vendor Services
- Work directly with vendors to schedule repairs and maintenance.
- Request and evaluate services with vendors and service providers.
- Work with vendors and vendor supplied systems to track service requests through to completion.
Inventory
- Record all computers and hand them to the new staff.
- Keep updated tracker for all.

4. BASIC SKILLS
- Technical Proficiency: Possess a strong understanding of various IT domains, including networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, database management, and software development.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently, using logical and systematic approaches to problem-solving.
- Network Management: Proficiency in configuring, monitoring, and maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Cybersecurity: Knowledge of security best practices, including implementing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption protocols, and conducting vulnerability assessments.
- System Administration: Experience in managing and maintaining server operating systems, virtualization platforms, and cloud-based services.
- Data Management: Understanding of database concepts, SQL querying, and data backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Programming and Scripting: Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java) and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) to automate tasks and develop custom solutions.
- IT Project Management: Ability to plan, execute, and deliver IT projects within defined timelines and budgets, while coordinating resources and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and provide excellent customer support.
- Continuous Learning: A commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and certifications to enhance skills and adapt to emerging IT challenges.

5. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Certified Professional) are advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an IT Specialist or similar role,
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as an IT specialist ,preferably within an international organization or a complex IT environment.

6. LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY
- Must be fluent in French, both oral and written;
- Intermediate Level of English is required;
- Mastering of the local language will be an asset

7. COMPUTER SKILLS
- Detailed understanding of the full Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams…);
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), hardware components, and software applications commonly used in enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues, with a solid understanding of diagnostic tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR), and best practices for securing IT systems and sensitive information.
