Background:
SoCha is contracted to provide technical and advisory services to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the Democratic Republic of Congo (USAID/DRC) and the CAR (Central African Republic) on the 5-year Mission Strategic Support Program (MSSP). MSSP works to strengthen Mission strategic monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems; manage high quality data; provide geointelligence; produce rigorous analyses that inform decision making; institutionalize collaborating, learning, and adapting (CLA) practices; expand localization through targeted and deliberate capacity building; generate action-oriented data visualizations and communications; and provide Mission personnel with third-party monitoring in areas they cannot access.
Position overview:
The USAID/DRC Mission Strategic Support Program (MSSP) is seeking a Short-Term Technical Assistance (STTA) Consultant is looking for a MEL officer STTA who is familiar with MSSP's work and approaches, particularly as part of its objectives 1 (Strategic Monitoring and Analytics) and 2 (Data Quality Assessment, data management, and Geographic Information Systems).
Schedule and location
The technical Assistance is scheduled for one month. The STTA will be based in
Kinshasa under the supervision of the Senior MEL officer. The STTA will contribute to Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) support to the USAID/DRC mission.
