Technical PROPOSAL WRITER
Consultant position description
Overview:
PATH DRC seeks consultant proposal writer to join PATH DRC teams for development of concept notes and proposals in the area of health innovation in the DRC including digital health, immunization, malaria, epidemic preparedness and response. To address growing opportunities, PATH DRC roster of proposal writers will be created and referred to with each available donor opportunity and according to areas of technical expertise. Consultants will be identified and contacted as opportunities arise.
Responsibilities
- Working with PATH DRC business development team, Technical Proposal Writers will be hired to join the team as “lead writer” role supported by PATH DRC from technical and budget experts.
- Working with PATH DRC business development team, and depending on the area of technical expertise, Technical Proposal writers may facilitate and lead technical content development or may support from purely writing perspective.
- Using well defined and clearly communicated methodology, create detailed outlines of each proposal’s key points and required content. Applicants’ approach should factor that the basic requirements, application forms, information and procedures vary with the Funding agency making the grant award.
- Developing a framework for evaluating each element of proposals
- Writing proposals that include supporting materials such as evidence-based diagrams, graphs, flowcharts, etc.
- Reviewing proposals and or content written by others to ensure compliance with PATH technical standards.
- Reviewing and editing the client’s responses to proposals to ensure they are consistent with the company’s standards.
- Presenting proposals in person to clients or other stakeholders within PATH
Requirements:
- Applicants should have significant experience in the area of public health, particularly in the African context, and preferably in the DRC context.
- Applicants should be able to write, edit and proofread in both English and French
- Applicants will be sought with expertise in Immunization systems, digital health and data systems, malaria, epidemic preparedness and response, primary health care
- 5+ years of experience in subject technical areas
- Ability to work flexibly, with a team and to meet deadlines.
